- Duty / tax
- HS 8429.52 (revolving excavators): the CET currently lists about 5% duty and 7.5% VAT on the declared value. Used machinery is offshore SONCAP-exempt; confirm the current rate with a licensed customs agent.
- Age limit
- HS 8429 is not on the current prohibition list. The 15-year rule that buyers often hear about covers vehicles under a different heading, not these excavators. Confirm before payment.
- Port / shipping
- Main ports: Apapa, Tin Can, Lekki and Onne. Prepare Form M, CCVO, a valid TIN, PAAR and your agent access, then clear promptly to limit storage and demurrage.

HS code 8429.52Revolving (360°) excavators are classified under HS 8429.52. Your broker applies your country's tariff and VAT to the declared value of the machine.
Documents we issueInvoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, matching the machine serial and model. Any extra certification is confirmed per order before purchase.
Shipping methodsContainer for smaller units, flat rack or break-bulk for out-of-gauge machines. The mode, loading port and freight are quoted per unit.
Who does whatWe handle sourcing, preparation, loading video and the export documents. You handle the import permit, clearance, duty, VAT and local delivery.
Condition evidencePhotos, nameplate, serial number, cold-start and working video, plus a six-point inspection reported before you pay.
Payment and termsUsually T/T with a deposit to hold the unit and the balance before loading. Terms are written into the PI and contract for each order.
